First Day of Intern At Pathlab

I’M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Miri at least.^,^

Oh well.. Actually i have been back since Saturday afternoon but only now i had the mood to blog. Ah well, anyway, i started my internship today! Well.. You cant say an internship but more of industrial training that’s what is stated on my offer letter.

Girl in picture is NOT my friend. I got the picture from Google. =)

First day’s very…… I don't know… Very boring? =) Like all first days, i wouldn’t want to judge too fast. Maybe everything will turn out good after all like it always does. But anyway, i learnt loads of things here at Pathlab, Kelana Jaya branch on the first day. Hold On! Pathlab? What is it you ask? (I will just perasan-ly answer your non existent question) It actually stands for Pathology & Clinical Laboratory. Yeah… Okay continuing that, This company specifically functions to take in swabs or biological samples from humans all around south east asia and then test the tubes with different reagents to see the reactions. Or a more simpler job, they take your sample, and run it through the machine, and tell you you are normal or not. =) And they ship or fly the samples into my lab through FedEx.

*Smiles* Who knew? *Grins*

FedEx Delivery Service!

Bloody blood sample. Cant see the plasma layer here though..

The samples are our normal secretory fluids… Sputum, stool, blood, plasma, serum, urine and much much more i haven’t known yet. (Plasma & serum are both components of the blood) And they have these machines that are so techie and cool looking with all those lights, action, sounds and robotic arms picking samples with micro needles, and then planting them to another tube for more tests. ITS DAMN COOL. And since there are machines running all the tests, we humans actually haven’t much to do accept for analyzing the results. But I didn’t exactly do this too. My function is just to help about the process making everyone have an easier day. =)

But i realised… That every time i see a bad result, like too high glucose levels in blood (means the guy has diabetes) or if there are pink uric acid crystals in the urine sample (means something wrong with kidney), i would feel sad for the person. Imagine how’s his/her expression like if they knew? What about the family? =( Guess god has different paths for each and everyone of us. As Buddhism and my parents always teach, There is always a reason for everything. And they really mean EVERYTHING from tripping yourself up and getting the neighbour’s dog to chase you down the road. Maybe these people have these diseases to teach them about family love and bonding? Sighs.. Life’s fair for everyone. It always is.

Anyway! I read a book today, its says, Success is getting what you want, and Happiness is wanting what you get. I learnt from that, that we have to be contented with what were each given, meaning only the WANTS. Things that we can live without. NOT NEEDS. Or we will be forever and eternally be damned to be always craving for better things. When you are satisfied and wanting what you already have, THEN better stuffs will come pouring in. Well.. All this according to the book of course! I am no philosopher. Owe it ALL to Ernie J. Zelinski!
